elmarriachi
IJN YAMATO - 1/350 by Tamiya (New Tool) + photo etched parts by Eduard (railings) The biggest battleship of the Japanese Navy. The IJN YAMATO in scale 1/350 as "new tooled" version by Tamiya. It is built mostly oob, plus photo etched parts by Eduard (railins), replacement parts for some guns, a wooden deck and other small stuff. The painting is done with Lifecolor colours, the weathering made with oil colors. The rigging is made with EZ-Line. And here we go ... DETAILS: I hope that you like it! baldrick
Very nice, the photos dont do the size any justice. Love the rigging, what material do you use? Are the wooden decks included in the Tamiya kit? Edited November 8, 2015 by baldrick
elmarriachi
Thank you very much! For the rigging I used EZ-Line which is absolutly perfect for the rigging of ships. The wooden deck was not included with the Tamiy kit. It is an additional part coming from Artwox. Cheers Michael

wizard4
I am curios they have omited the barbette rings, which I would have thought would protect the main turret drive. Cheers

mcdonnell
Thank you very much Paul You're more than welcome,Michael. As much as I love and enjoy my aircraft builds,I must admit to being drawn to have a go at a subject like this as a change.Tamiya are magnificent kits generally speaking but I did admire a future release by Revell of either the 'New Jersey' or 'Missouri ' which I saw on their stand at Telford this year.I think that was also 1/350 scale. Thanks for the inspiration. All the best,Paul.
