AnonymousDFB1
1st Century Mounted Celt Darkstar Miniatures 75mm Based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. Steve started in the design business straight from school and has been a modeller and sculptor now for over 30 years. He has studied Character Sculpting and Airbrush Painting with the Stan Winston School of Character Arts in California. He wanted to produce some of his own sculptures and quickly realised that it was difficult for sculptors to find a place to get their own models cast in small numbers at a reasonable cost. So the hobby became a business and Darkstar Miniatures was launched. This figure, cast in resin with some very fine and and sharp detail really captures the movement of both rider and mount. The figure comes securely packed in a large cardboard box with all the parts well packed and safely sandwiched between two foam layers. All the smaller parts are in a 'ziplock' bag and are supplied attached to their casting blocks. The castings are crisp with little or no flash and will require only minimal cleaning up. This figure is supplied with its own cast base allowing you, after assembly and painting to display it straight away or you can leave the figure the supplied base and create your own base, vignette or diorama. ConclusionThis figure is sculpted by Sergey Zlobov is from Darkstar's Historic Range of figures. If historic figures are not your thing then Darkstar also have a range of Fantasy figures to chose from. All are of the same fine quality and will be sure to please the most discerning modeller or figure painter. Review sample supplied by
