LE BOSCO
HI gentlemen I you present my project, the project is started since 2 years (I work slowly)it represents the Richelieu 2 years after the "operation Menace" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Dakar ) . No "political connotation", just I like Richelieu and this period allows me a challenge. Indeed I must put the model trumpeter in the original configuration. For the bravest I put a link(http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=111876) to the start of the project and from now on I'll post each new progress here Continued work on the Richelieu is situated on the oblique reinforcements of railings. to begin ,make a cutting jig, for cut off reinforcements to the same length (3.5) Then, without trembling, paste one by one on railings Only a side is finished ....very stressful for nerves Work continues See you soon for the next step cheers Nicolas

dfqweofekwpeweiop4
My Grandad was on the destroyer HMS Relentless in the Indian Ocean for a while in WW2 and he remembered escorting the Richelieu. I quite like the Richelieu and it will be interesting how this turns out! thanks Mike
LE BOSCO
HI thank a lot for your comments Mike your grandad has escorted the Richelieu more in this configuration (except for camouflage) , that is to say, after refurbishing in the USA in 1943 mine is located in the 50's in the french navy but it was substantially identical cheers Nicolas
Housesparrow
@LE BOSCO I am wondering, how do you apply superglue to those tiny parts? Do you just squeeze out a puddle on a piece of paper and then dip the parts into the superglue liquid?
LE BOSCO
thank's Housesparrow for sticking those tiny parts,I process thus ,a micro drop of cyano gel on one end,I applied the end on the handrail top,Part ofthe bridge is glued by depositing a micro drop of cyano extra thin with this tool I hope I was clear in my explanations cheers Nicolas Edited October 16, 2015 by LE BOSCO

LE BOSCO
Hi gentlemen the new progress ...in first , a dark grey is applied on the letters I do not know when I go the instaled as at my habits ,the railings are temporarily installed after have them formed, and drilled at each foot the ladder bars on the hull ,are glued and painted directly on the hull.railings are placed on a polystyrene piece and separately painted. an additional difficulty ,on the stern , the top of handrails was in wood. I represent the wood with Plastruc profiles painted in brown and glued with cyano .....a timeconsuming step but the result for me is fairly good the next step will on the bow see you soon best regards from France Nicolas Edited November 17, 2015 by LE BOSCO
