TOPGUN-ROB
Just wanted to confirm here. I've been reading/hearing people (in the UK mainly) say that Alclad Aqua Gloss is nothing more than the milky Klear re-bottled. Is this accurate? I live in the states but I'd like to make sure I'm not paying premium dollar for Aqua Gloss when I have at least 10 bottles of Future (Klear) in the cupboard. Thanks! Andy Moore
Hi Rob Aqua Gloss is Alclads version of Future. It's probably not exactly the same formula but it works the same way. It's a very good gloss coat but it won't really do anything that Future doesn't do just as well, so if you've got plenty of that I'd stick with it. JeffreyK
While Future/Klear makes natural metal finished appear "painted", i.e. takes away the "metalness" (for lack of a better word) of the finish, Aqua Gloss doesn't. There's hardly any change in appearance between the raw metal finish and one with Aqua Gloss over it, but you're much safer for weathering and can seal your decals in. For other applications, I don't think it makes much of a difference. Jeffrey
