cruiserguy
Good Afternoon Everyone, This is kind of paint related, and I hope you find it helpful. I use Vallejo and Deluxe Products model putties for filling gaps in my models; the former for fine work, the latter for larger gaps. However, at times I find them just a bit fragile, and they crumble away regardless of how carefully I sand them. I tried mixing them with Kleer to make them more durable, and to my surprise it appears to have worked. I mixed the putties with just enough Kleer to get the mix to flow by capillary action, dabbed and brushed the mix into the gaps, sanded them down when dry, and found both more durable than before. In the past I've used white glue to fill gaps in my models, I'll keep going with this idea, and see how it works long term. I should say the gaps were narrow enough for capillary action to work, but I will try a different mixture ratio to see if the same holds for wider gaps. Best Wishes, Will.
