Master Tools

For many modellers, half the fun of the hobby is in placing the finished models on display, either on the shelf at home or at model shows. The problem is that over the months and years, the fruits of our labour accumulate dust or, worse, end up losing some of their more delicate parts. If you've ever tried to remove dust from a particularly delicate model (I'm thinking 1:700 warships here), then you'll know what I'm talking about. This is where the wide range of display cases available from Trumpeter's Master Tools imprint come in handy. Moulded from clear polystyrene, the bases are available in seventeen different sizes, with the largest measuring 501mm x 149mm x 146mm (LxWxH), the smallest just 90mm x 51mm x 38mm and the rest covering most of the sizes in between. A range of circular display cases and turntables are also available.

This new addition to the range comprises two display bases, each measuring 111mm x 61mm x 63mm. Incidentally, the measurements represent interior dimensions, so there should be no problems selecting the correct case for a given model. The cases themselves are nicely produced and well-wrapped to avoid damage during transit. They should do a first-class of protecting models from dust and damage and I'll certainly be investing in some for my collection of 1:700 scale ships. Highly recommended.

I have been using these display cases, almost from when I came back to modeling, they are almost as important as the model itself, well almost ! for 1/700 they are perfect. There even cases were two ships can sail beside one another comfortably.

I could do with some suitable for 1:35 armour, which would make them an awful lot easier and space-efficient to store or move around :)

Yes it would, all my fleet moves around in boxes and then into a BIGGER boxes
