Sobby_23
Hi guys, quick question from a newbie I'm just in the process of finishing off the canopy and bubbles on a B17 kit which has been painted in bare metal using Tamiya's AS12. Now because the masking would be an utter pain I'm planning on brush painting the frames. I'm aware that one of the ways I could easily match the paint is just to spray the AS12 into the lid, wait for the gases to evaporate and then paint form there, but I was wondering if anyone produced a pot of acrylic that matches up with AS12? Hope that makes sense! Richard.
fayfaychu
I believe the AS range of Tamiya spray cans are cellulose based. Acrylic paints contains a much coarser pigment which is usally a tough match with those. Perhaps you can try Vallejo's liquid metal range which is alcohol based for touching ups etc.
