PhantomBigStu
I have a major problem, have made a mess of gulling a belly tank onto my airfix javelin which is almost finished (painted and decalled), is it possible to mask up the underside for respraying silver without damaging the decals? Adn if so how do I do it
Jusjay
Never tried it but really low tack paper such as post it notes and then off the decal with Tamiya tape or suchlike?
Graham T
Never tried it but really low tack paper such as post it notes and then off the decal with Tamiya tape or suchlike? I've used maskol over decals in the past - no problem.
viscount806x
Get some varnish over the decals and that will give them a bit of resistance to withstand the pulling off of the masking tape. I'd recommend some Rowney Cryla which is very tough when dried out, much more so than e.g. Klear.
PhantomBigStu
Decals are coated with revell aqua gloss , will it be fine if I use tamiya tape on it? with the crappy bog standard stuff to mask in between only touching the tamiya stuff? extent of the damage
