XL929 Posted September 23, 2015 Share Posted September 23, 2015 Chaps, I'm just finishing the Tamiya Merkava I however the headlights have got me stumped. I've tried trawling the net for some photos however I've drawn a blank, does anyone know what colours these are or are they simply transparent lenses? Dads203 Posted September 23, 2015 Share Posted September 23, 2015 Sound like you have one with an IR filter on and a normal driving light, the IR filter works in conjunction with a night IRR periscope Fitted to the drivers position. You'll notice that some British Cold War AFV's have 2 sets of lights, one normal set and the inner set have an IR filter bolted on. Quite common on the AFV 432's and Chieftains, IRR driving aids are old hat now and not seen on modern stuff as its been superceeded. Dan 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
