Jonny
The last I heard, it seems some time ago now, was that PA474 had suffered an engine fire, and the damage was being rectified. Does anyone know the current status? I've looked on the BBMF Website but there's nothing specific there. The list of booked displays omits 'L' for Lancaster. Just my enquiring mind at work! tomprobert
They update their Facebook page regularly - the engine was completely removed along with cowlings, mountings and all fittings and everything checked for fire damage. New bearers have been fabricated, new firewall and cowlings have been made and are installed, propeller is back on and apparently she's nearly ready for ground tests. According to FB, they're aiming to get he airborne on 21st Sept. If you have access to facebook, the link is here: https://www.facebook.com/BBMF.Official?fref=ts Tom
