AgentG
This one though, is 1/72 scale. Base coated in MM Acryl Olive Drab. This is the Trumpeter kit with a bunch of scratch built details. I really liked the kit with the exception of the vinyl tracks which are supposed to be gluable. They are not. I had to melt them together like Tamiya rubberbands of old. G Edited September 19, 2015 by AgentG
Sgt.Squarehead
Interesting you say that about the tracks G, I've built more than ten of the Trumpeter Shermans, on the first nine the tracks bonded perfectly with cheap hardware store CA, but the last few were much harder work.....I wonder if they changed their formula at some point? Pawel Szczudlyk
I like your attention to the details. How you did sand bags?cheers
AgentG
Sgt they may have. Neither CA or Tamiya thin had any effect. I built Trumpys 1/72 Tiger and had the same issues. Sdk I used some DAS airdrying clay. I rolled it out thin then flattened it a bit. I used a curved Xacto blade to cut off the bags. Once I was happy with the placement I thinned out white glue with water and brushed it on and around the stacks of bags. G
AgentG
Here's a little bit more. Almost there now. Camo is hand painted in MM Acryl colors. I hand lettered the name in Vallejo acrylic. This was a real tank in "B" Co, 4th Tank Battalion. G
