a....a....a....I dunno...... yet

For my next Whifs I have choice of three [or four]

1. Something for the RAF

2. Something for the Finns*

3. Something for the Swedes*

4. Something for a Nation which almost came into being.

*For 2 & 3 I only have the one kit so its either one or t'other. It might look good in that Swedish Splinter camo.

Subjects 1 and 4 are rather simple with little change to kit plastic.

I might try to do either 1 or 4 along with 2 or 3.

In different threads of course.

The reveal of the kits will come when the final choice is made.

So, which shall it be

2 or 3

1 or 4

I'm just amazed by you chaps who have all this free time. I'm single, and I'm lucky to manage a couple of hours a week on average.

Colour me gobsmacked.

I don't get that much spare time myself, I tend to stay up well into the night as this is the only spare time I get.

ooooo-----kaaaay. Looks like its 1 & 2

to be not done.

This'll be the thread for #3

Something for Sweden.

Swedish aeroplanes have in the past been built to be capable of using their main roads. In time of National Emergency the Swedish Air Force can deploy to the main road system and use the roads as runways.

After the Falkland's war of 1982 the Swedes were impressed by the Harrier GR3 and its S/VTOL capabilities.

They ordered a few for trial use with the possibility of building a licensed version in the future. To be known as 'Mjolnir' in Swedish use.

In 1989/90 the world military situation changed when the Soviet Union collapsed and Sweden no longer had need of many Harriers so they only ever had those few they bought for trial and training.

This will be the kit used;

I think I may have some Swedish stores from a Draken.

Nice! Considering the utility of the harrier, it's surprising that they haven't been used more prominently by the Scandinavians. I'll be looking forward to this!

There has been a delay as my main angle light's bulb fitting broke. I'm waiting for parts to fix it. I can't use the secondary light or jury-rig another as I had to turn the main power off to my modelling corner.
