tiking
Here is a What-if model I have been working on for a while. Still not completely done but wanted to basically test out a homebullt light box I built. So here are some shots of how it turned out after several editing in Infranview photo editor. Still not perfect but better than anything I have done. Again, the inspiration for this model was put into reality after seeing Igor Sobolevsky wonderful 3D art station work called 'Axiom Racing'. His 3d version is to 'die for'. Still need some touch ups in some areas and needs a stand, on a wooden base, when done. Hope you all like this build. ---------------------------------------------- The Seat before placement in cockpit. I could not take a decent enough photo of the display panel but will try later. Instead of a steering wheel, I made two sets of joysticks. Edited August 22, 2015 by tiking
bzn20
I like that..but you can't fool me, thats not really hovering,I can see a roll of tape! It would look good with the Harrier's Pegasus type vectoring pipes in the side pods. Good WIF! Edited August 22, 2015 by bzn20
Andy Moore
Utterly brilliant, and I love the Macca orange colour scheme. Perfect weathering too. Andy

Madmonk
That is absolutely brilliant and probably much quicker than this year's Mclaren! Cheers, Warren

bzn20
How do they look? Here is a Kestrel an earlier Hawker design but you get the idea. Had to get a decent picture because the wings obscure them. http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/405/pics/9_25.jpg

Leadsolo
Very nicely done. Good imagination and well executed. Reminds me a little of Star Wars pod racing, but without the pods... Maybe you've started a whole new genre
Gimme Shelter
Superb idea and a good use of parts - this could easily qualify for a choice vehicle of young Anakin Skywalker. You've done a great job on the weathering too making this a very believable design looking much used and real

tiking
Thanks for that. I added a little more details: 1. Rear motor resistent protective deflectors 2. Side burners resistent protective deflectors 3. Back burner resistent protective deflector There will be no back-mounted wing. Changed my mind. I think it looks good without one. Still looking for a way to add a canopy to the cockpit. Until then the driver will be using his helmet. I think I will just leave this as is and not add a canopy. The area behind the driver is pretty high and would look kinda awkward. Don't want to over-do it. i will just concentrate on placing it on a base mount with a figure and call it quits.
Leadsolo
Nice mods. It's fair to say you have inspired me. I'm doing some builds/reviews for a magazine and when I finish, I want to get back to doing a little sci fi....you have piqued my imagination

mbdesignart
Great build and finish. Some out of the box thinking, unlike the current F1 snoozfest. Wondering if this is for the Flymo Race Series
