The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum have produced a film that follows their Lancaster's historic visit to the UK in the summer of 2014 and documents it's epic trans-Atlantic journey as well as it's participation with the BBMF's Lancaster at various UK airshows.

The film is getting a limited theatrical release, and will be released on blu-ray at the end of the year.

Having been lucky enough to see the pair at Dawlish last year I cant wait to see the whole story!

Don't miss the trailer at the bottom of the page, I must have got something in my eye whilst I was watching it...

That's going to be awesome.

I have the Avro Sisters DVD which is great, but this looks even better.

A lump in my throat! I was lucky enough to see them both at Waddington last year with the Vulcan..... Words cannot describe the feeling, the noise and smell of that day! Just glad i have that moment to remember..............

Long live the Lancaster......

How very strange ... I've just watched the trailer and there must be some dust floating around - got in my eyes somehow!

MAGNIFICENT!! I was hoping a DVD might come along and it is about to!

Thanks, Canada . Thanks BBMF.

Just back from watching this at a cinema in Calgary.

Very good documentary, well worth seeing.

They concentrate most of the time on the journey over and the work up with the BBMF. Short glimpses of the airshows after that.

Surprisingly short coverage of the Derwent dam flypast and the formation with the Vulcan.

I will definitely be ordering this on DVD.

Just orderd mine!

I still cannot forget the emotion I and 1000s of others felt when the 2 Lancasters came into view at Duxford last year. It was really palpable. Then again, watching Flightradar24 as Vera flew north up the UK before heading out over the Atlantic on the way home to Canada..

INCREDIBLE!

I ordered my copy 1st December and it arrived today.

I've just finished watching it for the first time. It really is super. Quite emotional, too, especially the arrival at RAF Coningsby - first the heavy rain that stopped the planned 'escort' of the Red Arrows and BBMF's PA474 and a Spitfire & Hurricane meeting VR-A, then at the last minute the weather clearing to reveal Coningsby's runway dead ahead, all lights blazing to welcome the Candians 'in'

A really good DVD that I shall get a lot of pleasure from in the future. If you can, buy it, well worth the money.
