vesthepes
Thanks Ant, I appreciate your comment. OK, here we go... The beast is "almost" ready for painting and partially it already is... In this stage I usually go back and forth with painting and adding details... some basic pre-shading... adding detail to wing fences... partially painted underside using AKAN paint... PE air brakes wheels & landing gear Thanks for looking in... cheers
RMP2
Thats looking really promising indeed. More nice PE work too - good inspiration for my fights here! How did you get on with the Akan paint?
exdraken
great work! these are Armory wheels, no? what do you think of the SAC landing gear? Edited April 30, 2016 by exdraken
vesthepes
Thanks chaps How did you get on with the Akan paint? I quite like AKAN paints. I mix them with Gunze Mr. Color thinner and it works great... The underside color is supposed to be for Su-15/22/25/27 maybe not totally on spot, but there is no solid reference anyway I guess... these are Armory wheels, no? Yup, Armory wheels ... modelsUA is the place if you're looking for good deals what do you think of the SAC landing gear? Not so sure.., actually they look the same as Kopro ones, but metal.. they seem to be the same for Su-7 and Su-17/22... not sure if that's OK.. They come in both versions for the Su-7 ... BMK and BKL with skids.

exdraken
very nice paint work! you are close to the finishing line I'd say! do you plan to put on any armament?
vesthepes
Thanks Ex. Yes, I plan to arm it with four UB-16 launchers on the under-wing pylons and two fuel tanks on the belly. That was supposed to be one of the Ramadan war configurations...
vesthepes
Hello chaps. Well, almost done... I still have to insert the gun barrels and attach the drop tanks. Plus some minor PE details and adjustments. Edited January 27, 2017 by vesthepes
