PhantomBigStu
i've build a few of those spits, the tolerances are really tight, some fit with a little force, one did pop right in, and some needed as you say a little sanding to. though one did fit some badly that even after some sanding the force cracked it instead
maltadefender
I was shaving away with a box knife for 25 minutes! First time I've built one of these that didn't go together like a dream. Would have to be on a GB!

TEMPESTMK5
Good morning Maltadefender I had to cut off some plastic to set up the canopy on the 2 kits I am working on .. Patrice
maltadefender
Back on these two soon. Just the aerials to re-do. The Spit's went baggy after it fell off the stand and the 109's broke when Mr. Fatfingers here was belatedly putting some swastikas on. Since then I've been travelling for work so looking forward to a couple of clear days to finish off and crack on with the next entry.
CedB
I think a number of people have had fit problems on the Spit canopy, but Stew Dapple's advice is to fit the front and jam down the back. As long as there's not too much paint on the plastic this worked for me - hope it's not too late
