Paul A H
German Engineers 1:72 Revell Revell, along with Airfix and Matchbox, have long had a range of basic but affordable small-scale figures in their range. This particular set is relatively modern, dating back to the early 1990s (well that still seems modern to me). You get 40 figures in 12 different poses, all moulded in very dark green flexible plastic. Also on the sprue are two Goliath tracked demolition vehicles, an inflatable raft, some anti-tank mines and a few planks of wood. Most of these extras relate to specific figures; a pair of men are equipped with oars, while another pair are posed as if carrying something on their shoulders. Some of the figures have a little flash here and there that will need to be cleaned up, but for the most part the mouldings are pretty good. Although the detail and finish is not on a par with some of the state of the art injection moulded figures from the likes of Dragon in this scale, the figures included here are actually pretty good and details such as the folds in clothing are nicely represented. Conclusion While this set might not feature the best figures in this scale, they are still pretty nice and it does represent good value for money.Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model retailers.
