U-201, Revell, 1:144

Recommended Posts

This sewer pipe is just finished. Well known Revell kit, Griffon Model set dedicated to it plus some of my own handiwork with wires.

That is an absolute beauty! Excellent paint job and cracking figgies.

Are they the Preiser Tank Crew figures? Whatever they are they certainly suit the U Boat well!

How did you make the insulators on the wiring?

:goodjob:

Thanks Murdo, sorry forgot about bloody nazis ;) Yes Preiser, but not only tank crews. There are some from NATO groud crew and pilots and from civillian airline personell. I have enough figgies for few more ships in that scale. Insulators are just blobs of white PVA glue, put on in 2-3 stages, nothing spectacular.

Cracking build Mick, very nicely done. Thanks for the tip about figures, been looking for some for my submarines in 1/144 to bring them to life as you have done.

Welcome aboard, from a fellow submarine builder.

All the best Chris

This is my first post in a non aviation forum here on BM. And this because I have to say how nice this build is.

It's a top notch model with great details - makes me almost hear the wind, feel the waves and smell the sea. Cool.

Cheers,

Michael
