James G
Hi All, I sprayed out some of the Alclad black primer/microfiller onto some parts last night, and had a heck of a time trying to get it to come out of my airbrush (H&S Evolution). There were no instructions on thinning the stuff on the bottle, and to spray at 15 psi which I did. It seemed a bit on the thick side in the paint cup, but I eventually got some onto the parts all right (albeit with a bit of spattering). Has anyone had a similar experience? I assume cellulose thinners could be used to thin this stuff but has anyone tried this? Cheers James
Rick Brown
I too need to thin slightly, with Cellulose thinners, when using my Iwata CR 0.3mm. HTH. Rick.
James G
Thanks Rick - no issues with the finish then?
Rick Brown
Thanks Rick - no issues with the finish then? No, not after thinning. Just watch for build up around wing roots etc. Over spray dries in the air and settles where it isn't wanted! This leaves a pretty hard pebble dash coat that's a little difficult to smooth off. HTH.
