Jessica
Immediately after the war, the Marquardt company created a little ramjet engine. Since one of the minor drawbacks of a ramjet is that they need to 'hitch a ride' behind another engine until they're going about Mach 0.5, the USAF put them on a Mustang to see whether they'd work or not. This is Hasegawa's "special edition" kit straight out of the box with the exception of an Ultracast seat. I built it for a Mustang group build in a forum elsewhere on the interwebs. It represents a hard-worked test aircraft which is faded and shabby. Edited July 11, 2015 by Jessica

Rob G
Nice to see one of these done Jessica. I had that kit until a few years ago, when I decided I'd never do it, and sold it at a local club swap meet. (I say that a lot, don't I? Bugger.) Yours looks very nice indeed. I wonder if I can remember who I sold mine to...?
Head in the clouds.
Kills the lovely lines of the Mustang but I like odd planes, never knew they did that so thanks for the build, very nice.
