whitestar12chris
Finally off the shelf of Doom, Trumpeter's 1/144 Seawolf. For anyone contemplating this kit there is one issue, The two main halves do not line up, the trick is to line the rear end up of the two halves, glue one side a bit at a time with liquid poly, about 3 inches and work along to the front, then tackle the other side same fashion. The result in doing it this way is you end up with a bout a 1mm gap between the nose cone and the body on one side, a small matter of filler, there are horror stories of people not doing this and ending up with much larger gaps. Anyway here she is in all here glory, matt black, panel on the conning tower, nose cone and the non slip walkway down the middle ontop. Remainder satin black, matt red (humbrol 60), all humbrol enamels. with satin and matt clear cote startegically placed except the nose cone which is bare paint. The only other issue was the decals being transparent until clear coated, oh well any tips on this welcome. Dont have this problem at 1/350 LOL Chris

Gimme Shelter
superb Sub - what a stonkingly big model - very nice indeed. Does the US Navy allow high heels on-board their vessels?
