stevehnz
I thought for an awful moment that 1st photo was showing a crashed plane & when I saw what it was I went ...NOOOOOOOOO...!, but then I realised it was just a long shot with a fair bit of heat distortion. To my eye, the Executive is as pretty as they come, right up there with DH 88 Comets, & pretty much any other pre-war civil jobs, post war too. roginoz
Is this the same company that built the Spartan Arrow which was a long time resident of Denham airfield back in the 60's ? I'm with you, Steve, a beautiful example of "between the wars" executive aircraft. Rog
lasermonkey
Different companies, IIRC. There were American and British companies which used the Spartan name. Confused the hell out of me for a while! Cheers, Mark.
theplasticsurgeon
Thanks - I knew the combined might of Britmodeller would come up with a swift answer.

John B (Sc)
I think that machine is or was based at Little Gransden. I have a feeling Andy McLuskie used to do the maintenance on a Spartan based there. Beautiful machine in immaculate condition. John B
