Guideline Publications: "AIRfile" and "Combat Colours". Good reference photos or mostly profiles?

Hello everybody,

some of the titles published in the "AIRfile" and "Combat Colours"-series look very interesting. But I wonder if they include a good selection of reference photos or exclusively/predominantly profile drawings. The latter can also be nice to look at, but I normally don't buy such booklets without historical photos.

Unfortunately, the publisher's web site is a bit unclear regarding this question. What do you think?

I do have most of the airlife ones, there good books but are mostly drawings, but there is some pics, there well done and give the colours and fs numbers..

they also give reference sources so you can go look at the photos and judge their accuracy for yourself
