Wow, what a cracking  job you made of yours! What method did you use for the natural metal finish?

Thanks Mate!

My model was finished in Alclad over gloss black base coat (also Alclad IIRC).

Undersides were Alclad "aluminium" and top & sides were "polished aluminium".

Various panels were masked & then tinted with Tamiya "smoke".

Washes were applied in acrylic dark grey & black to accentuate panel lines.

A couple of areas were flawed a little (poor technique, not the kit's fault), so I masked locally & sprayed some Humbrol "polished aluminium" out to the panel edges - adding some further contrast.

Exhaust stains were carefully airbrushed using Humbrol gloss dark brown.

A little pastel dusting around the undercarriage was the finishing touch.

Wanted this kit from the moment I heard of it, and I am pleased with how it turned out. :coolio:

I agree with you.  When I built mine, I was quite happy to leave out all interior detail behind the cockpit bulkhead, knowing that it could not be seen.

Even a p/e cockpit set would be a bit of a waste, because only vague shapes can be discerned through the windows.

Noice! And good to see someone using Peter's decals! I have one on the go which, when/if finished, will be in Airlines of NSW colours, using Peter's stuff again.
