Solo
My Rafale M is ready for inspection. Here you can find my WIP thread. Revell's Rafale is really nice kit, so working on it it was a real pleasure. Everything is well detailed and perfectly matched. I added some aftermarkets: - wingtip pylons from Wolfpack Design upgrade set - Eduard's PE small set - Montex masks - North Star Models Exocet missile - Syhart and Zotz decals and masks (used only few of them). I also used Gunze and Tamiya paints, Gunze and Alclad metallic paints, Tamiya, AK and Ammof of Mig Jimenez weathering stuff. Before you ask me: I painted my Rafale with mix of Gunze C307 and Tamiya XF-54, 1:1. I think that is all. Enjoy.

Dave N
Whoa. That's a fantastic finish- the nose gear leg and tinted windshield look especially realistic. Can I ask what you used for those? ( the metal finish on the main wheels is also very convincing. Cheers, Dave
Solo
Whoa. That's a fantastic finish- the nose gear leg and tinted windshield look especially realistic. Can I ask what you used for those? I just used mix of Gunze Clear Orange, Tamiya Smoke and Gunze GX-100: 4:10:14. It gives "tea" colour and very clear, and hard surface of painted canopy. All undercarriages I painted with Gunze SM-01, some parts with Alclad Steel. Edited June 17, 2015 by Solo
Ex-FAAWAFU
Beautiful, subtle model of a gorgeous aircraft. Everything about it - the paint job, the weathering, the lot - is good. I agree with Dave N about the canopy, too; one of the best I have seen
