Reini78
Because it still takes some time for the next fresh roll-out from my dad´s "factory" I´m gonna post several maybe more interesting models he has already built in the past, hope you don´t mind, don´t want to overwhelm you with posts :-) In December 1944 the Hungarians received about a dozen Bf110G-4 Nightfighters that served with the 101st Nightfighter Squadron. It was planned to establish a second squadron , pilots were trained but never equipped with aircraft. The 101 was first stationed in western Hungary but due to the advance of the Red Army the unit was soon transferred to Austria where the a/c were stationed in Wiener Neustadt and Parndorf. From January to March 1945 they made only a few interception missions without any success. Around early April 1945 the a/c were destroyed because of lack of fuel. Afterwards the crews fled from Austria to Germany in order to became US POWs and not Russian ones. The book "Hungarian Fighter Colours 1930-1945 Vol.2" by Denes Bernard and György Punka was used as reference. Revell Germany kit, Cutting Edge decals, Gunze RLM paints, aerials done with EZ-Line, muzzle dampers are parts from the spares box, upper wing markings are masked and painted
Duncan B
I like that a lot, a very nice build with just the right amount of weathering. Thanks for posting those photos, it is an inspiration for me to get on and finish my Eduard 1/72 one. Duncan B
Mark
That really is exquisite! One of those models that you look at and think 'Hmmm, yeah, that's really nice!' Then you look more and realise that it's really quite brilliant! Those exhausts are an example of what I mean.

Reini78
thanks guys! @Mark yes, good looking result with small effort on the night exhausts, simply painted black and then some drybrushing
Knight_Flyer
Excellent build, very cool model. I love how it looks with the radar array and the lo viz markings almost gives it a modern appearance. Imagine if aircraft development stayed static since WWII and this is still in operational service today
rmcclure
Great work and a rarely seen colour scheme, which almost looks like a modern low-vis scheme. Cheers, Roger

Kampartiger
Absolutely stunning! I always thought low-viz was a product from the 90s but this gorgeous Hungarian BF110G proved me totally wrong!
RocketSurgeon
Beautiful 110. I was looking at this very model on an other page the other day as I'm also planning to build a Hungarian nightfighter. It's always nice to see aircraft of my country built by foreign modellers. Thank you for keeping the memory of our brave pilots alive.
Reini78
besides two Oeffag Albatros back from our united imperial time, the 110 is the third "official" Hungarian a/c in our collection already done a Bf109 G-6 and G-10
