Deadman Disciple
Hi guys, A while ago I built a Tamiya 1/35 Humvee, everything was going great until I sprayed it once over with the purity seal. It left a white misty residue & stupidly I didnt mask the windows. Whilst I dont want to remove it from the humvee itself, but its the windows I want to de-fog as it were. The other day (after reading on here) I tried dipping some kitchen towel in tesco all purpose cleaner & taped it to the windows & left it overnight with no joy. I was even tempted to try some cillit bang on the windows (as silly as that sounds) Any thoughts? Edited June 10, 2015 by Deadman Disciple
Eludia
Have you tried brushing with Klear, I'm sure it has magical properties
Grayson
I've fogged glass before now with humbrol matt varnish, well my son did as I neglected to tell him that it needed masking. We rescued it with panel prep/panel wipe which is a very gentle fluid used to clean car body panels of contaminants prior to spraying and also to remove vehicle decal residue. It is solvent, but not aggressively so and we used a q-tip/cotton wool bud to gently break the varnish down. Washed with hairy lipsquid/Fairy liquid and the used Klear to restore them almost to perfection. Don't know how it will work with this product that you have used, but it has to be worth a try. Panel prep can be bought from you local car paints supplier. I don't think you can legally have it via post though as it is flammable and normally sold in 5 litre cans. If you live near Liverpool I can probably run half a litre over to you. I won't post it though. Failing that, Google your local car paint suppliers and see what they've got. CharlieNZ
Is the citadel product acrylic? You could try cleaning the windows with isopropyl alcohol, or possibly a window cleaner like windex. Both usually work reasonably well dissolving acrylics.
Deadman Disciple
I live in Bilston, which is near Wolverhampton, but cheers anyways Grayson. Hmm, a window cleaning solution I might try that. Im hoping to get some Klear sometime in the near future, once my missus goes up to Asda. http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Purity-Seal-Spray Edited June 11, 2015 by Deadman Disciple
