chrisrope
Hi I have my Lansen mostly finished but glossy. It has been glossed with Klear and would like to know if it's OK to spray Humbrol Enamel matt without reaction ? Cheers Chris
Black Knight
Humbrol have two types of matt spray, acrylic and enamel. With both, light misting coats to build up to desired finish to go, but the enamel version needs the coats very light indeed to prevent the carrier from reacting with the Klear. The acrylic can go on ever so slightly heavier. hth
Karl
I wouldn't use Humbrol matt enamel varnish at all; being an oil based varnish it has a high chance of going yellow with age. Might not be a problem with the dark colour but worth thinking about. Better to use Humbrol Clear Cote acrylic matt. I've over coated Klear with it plenty of times. chrisrope
Well I used the enamel Matt spray. Finish is great but I think I put on too many layers of primer, paint and varnish as the canopy masks have left frilly edges Think I'll sniff out a brush on Matt varnish that doesn't leave brush marks
