BallsBuster
Hi, Perhaps someone could advise what color were cockpit areas on French a/c in the 20s? I presume grey, but what shade and best match with the modelling paints? Suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. The same questing on the colors used on seaplanes? Were the bottoms of the flying boats black or dark blue? Black makes more sense to me, but who knows? Thanks in advance
pbhawkin
Check out this forum (in French). denisvanb
For landplanes, you could check the Dewoitine D.27 walkaround , you will find natural metal, silver and grey paint, quite typical from the time for metallic aircrafts, manufacturers did whatever they found adequate as there was no regulation ... Some wooden interiors were red (Caudron Simoun...) Seaplanes interiors are supposedly light blue gray or light gray, as navy requested painting. BallsBuster
Thank you very much for the suggestions. Very helpful indeed. I am to build a flying boat so light grey it is... would anyone know about the colors of beaching trolleys? Regards
