S5 modeller
Hi chaps. Got a question and thought I would ask all the knowledgeable people on here. Does any one know if halfords appliance white reacts with revell enamel paint? Going to try halfords white, as everyone raves about it, but need to overspray revell enamel black over parts. Don't want to risk it if it will react badly. Anyone tried it. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Matt
pinky coffeeboat
I didn't have any reactions when I sprayed any colour (including Revell enamel) over appliance white. But I usually coat it in Klear to protect the finish. Warm the can slightly and you should be ok. Jeff
viscount806x
Any cellulose paint will attack any enamel or acrylic undercoat. It can sometimes be avoided as PC says and also misting on thinly so that it dries quickly. Best way is to spray celluloses first and then the enamels or acrylics.
S5 modeller
Cheers chaps. I fully intend to apply the halfords white first, then the enamel over the top. I suppose I could always mask and spray up to each demarcation line, but it would be easier to be able to just overlap the enamel onto the white. Might just do a test first, to be on the safe side. Skodadriver
If you put the appliance white on first and the enamel over it you won't have any problems. I've done it many times, most recently Revell orange over appliance white on an Easyjet A320

Matt Yep, that'll work fine.
