Bristol Blenheim Mk.I L6739 Displays at Duxford May 2015

Great pictures!

I have a sneaking suspicion that as and when Airfix release a Mk 1F, L6739 will be one of the decal options.

Mike. :)

Great photos. I really hope that she never gets broken again - always been fond of the Mk 1

Wow, beautiful photos of a great aircraft. Lovely work.

Thanks guys. I'm pleased you liked the pictures. The weather wasn't as favourable today, but she still looked superb in formation with the two Spitfire 1as.

The Blenheim is booked for the East Fortune air show in July. I just wish the two Spits were coming too!

Such a shame that the Spits won't be joining the Blenheim at East Fortune, as they make such a special formation. I'm sure that you'll enjoy seeing the Blenheim though.

The Blenheim looks stunning and you`ve captured it really well but shouldn`t it have half black and half white painted undersides as a fighter, rather than all black? After the yellow outline anf fin flashes were added in 1940 the black and white then gave way to Sky undersides so the excuse that it was a `night fighter' cannot be used as in 1939 and early/mid 1940 their main task was `heavy fighter' and not night fighting.

Wonderful pics though of a wonderful aircraft,.......just a bit dubious about the scheme!

Cheers

You did very well. I was there 2 weeks ago and she was parked in a closed Hanger 3 and I had to peer through the crack in the door just see her. Mind you I did see 3 Mustang displays and 2 each for the Spitfire and Yak.

Good to see the pilot getting plenty of practice, I never got to see the previous incarnation before the pilot used it to plough up the runway at Debden.

Great Pics anyway and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Colin, I'm pleased you liked the pictures. I was chuffed to see her in flight three times on Friday and then again during the show on Saturday. At least you saw the Mustangs, Spitfire and Yak displays during your visit.
