rom1
Hello there, Here is my last 1/32nd build finished in 2014. It is the Trumpeter boxing with some scratch, Spada and Berna decals. It was a lot of work This is the plane of Commandant Cavaroz, based at Cat-Bi airbase, Indochine, 1951. He reworked the insignias of "Limousin" group as depicted on his own aircraft. The model is first painted with Alclad Aluminium. Then some maskol is applied with a sponge. The paint job starts with a coat of blue, lighter than the actual dark blue. The dark blue is then sprayed over the first coat, doing some postshading by insisting on the lines. Maskol is removed and scratches are added with a toothpick. More chipping is done with alu paint applied with a sponge. After decals, a thin coat of satin/matt acrylic varnish is sprayed and pigments are added on strategic areas. ;^) Romain

Biggles87
Great weathering job, it looks just like any picture of a French Bearcat in Indochine, looking like it's been in a fire! Another member of our local target shooting club flew Bearcats in Indochine, with your permission I will print off a picture and show it to him. Well Done John

Red Dot
great weathering. Not a criticism but are the backs of the props really that worn? As i say, not moaning, just wondering.

philtn
Superb! Usually not a friend of "extreme weathering", even though it occurred at times, I absolutely love this one I think you did a fine job with the aging and "chipping", which seems to be in the right areas and nicely "random" the ground crew must have been step dancing on the wings though... they be damned! rom1
Thank guys! As for the props, I read or heard somewhere that the mix or air/gavel/sand added to the depression caused by high speed rotation resulted in a severe abrasive process on the rear sides of the props. However, I am not able to find a picture showing it on a real plane. cheers!
