bootneck
My copy has arrived safely as well, and it is signed. Excellent book and I have already learned some tips on scratchbuilding and modifying. The section on constructing your own ship's rails, to replace those thick ones on plastic models etc. and instead of purchasing expensive PE, is truly inspirational. Thanks to Bob for a great book. ShipbuilderMN
Thanks Pete & Mike, Glad they arrived OK. I was very pleased with the books as regards images and paper quality. Amazing to think that it was all done via the Internet. The manuscript was sent by e-mail and the books arrived 14 days later! steveiow
Bob I've just come across this topic whilst recovering from a close encounter with that hooded bloke and his scythe. I see from the beautiful model (ar'nt they all?) of Rhodesia Star you signed on and had quite an interesting trip to Australia in 1961. I looked it up in Ships in Focus Blue Star Line history! ShipbuilderMN
Yes, Rhodesia Star was a very impressive looking ship that began life as an aircraft carrier! Here is a New Zealand coastal passenger ship - Arawata: Bob
