mirageiv
Hi guys, I am not sure if this is an airbrush problem or my technique for spring alclad primer. I cleaned my airbrush numerous times, total strip etc like I have done many times before. However when I sprayed a brand new bottle in very light coats (varied pressure to see if it made a difference, it didn't) I only managed a result like this, Kinda spits it on, very pebbly and has a wide spray splatter making it impossible to spray a fine line. On a kit I am building atm, very pebbly finish, I have seen very nice results with the primer so I know I'm doing it wrong but not sure why. Maybe it is an airbrush problem? I have an Iwata Neo and it has caused some trouble like this before, not very impressed with it tbh. Any help or recommendations would be much appreciated, best regards, David. Muzz
I sometimes find the Alclad primer quite thick and I've thinned it down which does the trick. I also find if the rooms warm it builds up quickly at the nozzle and quick clean of the nozzle with Alclad airbrush cleaner is required.
