Brilliant photos..I thought the special livery tornado was having a black fuselage top also?..still looks damn good though.

Interesting selection of images, thanks for sharing.

Not sure why but the 2(AC) Squadron markings look "right" on the Typhoon and I do hope that one of the after market manufacturers produce a set of markings for the 15 ® Squadron 100th anniversary scheme soon.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments - part 2 will have to wait until the garden is sorted out as the weather is good at the moment - (apologies to Ali & TAL). We were lucky with the weather, even though it was on the chilly side at Lossie the rain stayed away for the most part.

Ali - We waited most of the day for the Turks - I reckon we could have had an extra 5 hours in bed, but you never know..

hi Mike - this time out I used a Nikon D3100 + 500mm and a D2Xs + 200-400mm - some from both combos above.

Hopefully the XV® special tail will get out and about a bit this year.

cheers

Wow these are outstanding pic's, I particularly like the Tornado shots and the 1st Typhoon shot.

I was down at Ayr today and saw a fair few Hawks and FRA Falcons around Prestwick.

The photos are fantastic and I love the three colour roundel on the XV Sqn `special',......I think that they should bin the tactical roundel and adopt this style on all of the RAF fast jets.

Cheers

I suppose there's very little point in having a tactical roundel when you've got a great big fin full of red, blue and gold etc.

Hi Jinxman,

I take it that they are Nikon brand lenses.

Cheers,

Mike.

hi Mike,

yup they are nikons - I had a Sigma 500mm at one stage and it was a great lens, but in certain circumstances, (hot weather, 25 degrees plus), it didn't work how it should have done.

cheers

Just been drooling over these again and think the rear 3/4 shot of the Hawk is also particularly good as it's such an unusual angle. Pic's out a huge amount of detail on the airframe.

Once again excellent work and would love to see more!
