Czech colours

Another dumb question. I have recently had cause to have a look at the Kopro Skoda D.1 in the stash and I noticed that the suggested overall colour for two of them was described in the instruction sheets as 'Grey-Green' which is a fair description of the box art. The suggested paints seem to suggest something rather darker. For the record, Testors 34092,Revell RLM 71, Gunze 34092 again, Humbrol 73 (mistake for 75?)and Agama(don't know).

So, can anybody tell me what colour (besides Aluminium dope) the Czechs painted aeroplanes in the 1930's. It occurs to me that all the people who've been building the Czech version of the Bloch 200 all these years should know the answer.

All the people contemplating a long line of Eduard B 534's no doubt have already tried out their preferredmixes.

Please, I'd like to know.

I think the Humbrol number should be 78 - Cockpit Greygreen. Thats what I use.

75 is Bronze Green, much too dark.

In the Agama range, C4 or C5 should be right in the neighborhood according to the notes Agama include with the colour swatches on their website:

While the notes say that both shades were used on aircraft produced by Avia after 1926, it must be kept in mind that Avia became part of Skoda in 1928.

You might want to drop a pm to forum member Redboost; he's a very talented Czech modeler who sometimes posts on the forums and may be able to give you a definitive answer.
