Paul Bradley
Here's Hasegawa's RCAF Lancaster ASR.10. Built basically OOB, but the colour scheme and decals from the box are not correct - thanks to Jim Bates for the correction notes and spare decals! The geometry of the outboard engines was corrected, and I found a more suitably-sized tailwheel in my spares box. I used the Xtradecals Foreign Lancasters sheet for most of the decals; paintwork by Testors Metalizer and Xtracrylix. Enjoy!

moaning dolphin
She certainly is a looker! Very nice finish. Is there much to change out for Canadian versions? I was looking at doing a scheme like that for a Revell one I have in the stash. Good to see there are another set of decals out for this version, I did see some offered by a Canadian firm but seemed a bit pricey, Those xtradecal ones look nice Cheers nowBob
Paul Bradley
Cheers, guys, I appreciate it! She certainly is a looker! Very nice finish. Is there much to change out for Canadian versions? I was looking at doing a scheme like that for a Revell one I have in the stash. Good to see there are another set of decals out for this version, I did see some offered by a Canadian firm but seemed a bit pricey, Those xtradecal ones look nice Cheers nowBob There are some new windows in the rear fuselage, a different aerial fit, the top turret of course is gone, while the front and rear lack guns. Most of the changes are pretty obvious, but the Xtradecal sheet instructions are very helpful - I recommend them. What a corker,........great Lanc Paul and I love the scheme! Glad that Jim was able to help you out,....he`s a good egg isn`t he! Cheers Tony Cheers, Tony. Yes, he is - he also has some photos of the machine at different times in her career, which helped clarify markings.

jean
Hi Paul, fantastic result all around! I was unaware there was a problem with the geometry of the outboard engines on this kit. Is it serious? Congrats! JR

Val
Excellent model, brilliant work! Great to see a different Lancaster. My grandad flew with Air and Sea Rescue during WWII, he was also a Lancaster bomber pilot. I'm not sure what aircraft he flew with Air and Sea Rescue, but think it was a Lanc. Might be totally wrong on that one though!
