TheStig Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Kit: TamiyaScale: 1/48Type: P-51b MustangExtras used: decals, eduard photoetchPaints used: Tamiya, Mr metal and Vallejo Built this alongside my other one, slight difference with this one, mounted on a base, in flight, just after takeoff with wheels being retracted. And a motor added. Extensive chipping again on this one. First time painting a pilot, dont think i did too bad. Also another first for me is my first metal finish on a plane. I used Mr Metal, i found these ok and excellent to brush paint with too. Boman, heres a pic of the motor, i basically used plastic card and superglue to make the motor mount. Also found a pic of the cockpit assembly with the pilot.
