Bedford RL's in RAF service.

I have just managed to acquire a couple of 1/72 scale (approximately) Bedford RL's. They are Britains

models from the 1960's. I want to use them to create some RAF vehicles for airfield use with my 1/72 scale

aircraft.

I know they were used in there GS truck versions but wanted to change to something a bit different.

I believe they were used as refuellers and ATC vehicles but struggle to find good references.

Does anyone have any good references or know of any.

The AIX Airfield Vehicles forum is usually a good place to start - it can be a bit difficult to search as its sorted on roles and not types, and you need to be a mambers to search, but there is a wealth of info on there:

You have to be careful on this, a lot of the RAF Airfield support vehicles were not RL but Bedford S type which used the same basic cab but were largely 2 wheel drive.
