"FREEZE!" 1/20 Ma.k Krote and Polar Bear Suit Diorama

Recommended Posts

Whilst Im working on a new Ma.k dio, just thought I'd share another Ma.k build with you guys.

This was my first Ma.k Project and the first time I tried snow and ice effects in a diorama and was very pleased with the results. I wanted to give a sense of a lone trooper out in a frozen waste that gets a shock when he comes across a patrolling krote and falls back in surprise.
This was about a year ago that I did this and I still haven't got around to putting some proper edges on it  so before anyone mentions that I know!

I included an outdoor natural light photo at the end as I think it gives a better impression of how the snow looks.

Superb piece of work - the snow especially. The tracks and the way the figure/walker are set in is excellent, and incredibly realistic. Thanks for sharing.

Love it. I noticed the ice too.

Makes me shiver!

I too have Ma.k kits I hesitate to build.

So I turned to scratch building.

Falke, Airfix 1/32nd Jag/Aston & a cheap 1/48th P 38 lightning. Hours of fun.

The original used a 1/24th car & a 1/32nd P 38.

Bit pricey now that big Lightning.

For a hovertank I used an old computer mouse.

Have a look in this RFI section.

Got any more like that one, Andy?
