JackG
No suggested Revell in the above, but for Humbro 94 there is an equivalent provided as Rev:88 (Rev:16, Rev:314) from http://ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_humbrol.htm regards, Jack
Panzer Vor!!!
Revell 16 looks ok but 314 seems too light to me Thanks for the answer much appreciated Dave
Fatboydim
Have you ever considered a Tamiya rattle can? I believe it's TS-3 which is XF-60 Dark Yellow.
SleeperService
Humbrol 94 is a dead match for the paint on preserved items. As these will have faded a bit over the years it makes a good scale finish IMHO. I am building two panzer IVs at the moment and the other is Revell 16. It is very similar but a little brighter than the Humbrol. I suspect that there will be little difference between the two once the finish is weathered....

steveinns
I use Humbrol 83 as an effective dunkel gelb especially for 1/72 scale models. Recently since moving more to acrylics, Tamiya dark yellow, I can't remember the number though !
Graham Boak
Colourcoats have a Dunkelgelb.
Mike Starmer
Revell 380 was exactly the right colour, withdrawn but there may be tins about. Otherwise 3 x H93 + 1 x H84 is a close alternative. There are at least 3 variants of this colour.
coolhand
Hi guys Some useful info here. Was just wondering if Dunkelgleb was used on Afria Corps vehicles as well or if there was a different desert colour? Andy
AgentG
Hi guys Some useful info here. Was just wondering if Dunkelgleb was used on Afria Corps vehicles as well or if there was a different desert colour? Andy Well there are four colors listed for the official Tropen schemes. Originally the equipment was sent to Libya in Panzer Gray, within six weeks most were repainted a hodgepodge of sand colors due to a shortage of paint. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234955321-dak-pz-i/ http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234980962-panzer-iii-g-dak/ Officially from May 1941 to April 1942 the colors are RAL 8000 overall with RAL 7008 covering 1/3 the vehicle as a disruptive color. RAL 8000 is a darken golden brown with a twinge of green. RAL 7008 is a greenish khaki color of nearly the same tone. Google the Bovington Tiger for a good look at these colors. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234959319-panzerbefehlswagen-iii-e-dak/ April 1942 to May 1943 saw RAL 8020 overall with RAL 7027 covering 1/3 as a disrupter. RAL 8020 is a light sandy color with a twinge of pink. RAL 7027 is a green khaki gray color. That's as close as I can describe it, LOL. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234958448-another-panzer-iii-l/ There is evidence some late arrivals to Tunisia were Dark Yellow (RAL 7028) over which was over sprayed with RAL 7027. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234980913-pz-iii-n-in-tunisia/ I use Tamiya for nearly everything. So for Dunkelgelb I use their Dark Yellow XF-60, cut 60/40 with Deck Tan XF-55 and a drop or two of white. For RAL 8000: Tamiya Flat Earth XF-52, 40%, Dark Yellow XF- 60, 40% and Yellow Green XF-4, 20%. Add just a touch of Orange X-6 to taste. RAL 7008: 50/50 mix of Olive Drab XF-62 and Khaki XF-49. RAL 8020: Buff XF-57, 60% , Flat Flesh XF- 15, 30% and Deck Tan XF-55 10% with a touch of white to taste. RAL 7027: Deck Tan XF-55, 40% Khaki XF-49, 60% and then I add a drop or two of Khaki Drab XF- 51. The above mixes courtesy of Mr Mike Starmer who undertook all the research and graciously posted it on line. G
Andre B
Mmm... RAL 8000 (FS 30215) "Brown" together with RAL 5008 (FS 35053) "Blue" and RAL 7044 (FS 37722) "Grey" is said to be used by IAF first fighters - Avia199, Spitfire Mk. IXe and P-51D Mustang by Sky Decals. So what is RAL 8000? Brown, yellow or... ? Is there any Humbrol equalent to RAL 8000?
