1/25 1970 McLaren m15 Indy car.

Recommended Posts

This is my WIP of the Lance Sellers resin kit of the M15 indy car. The M15 was McLaren's first attempt at an indy racer, based on the tech from the M8 Can-Am cars and powered by a turbo charged Offenhauser 4cyl engine. For a fuller description see http://www.bruce-mclaren.com/the-cars/indy-500/m15/gallery/1.html.

This is the car I am modeling.

This was actually started last week, and I forgot to take any pics of the resin parts as they came. Here is how she stands as of tonight.

Hi Rusty,

this looks like a nice kit. I have seen some of Lances Sellers models on other Forums such as Open Wheel Modelling. There are some great subjects.

You are making good progress on this one, looking forward to seeing it done. Good inspiration for me to crack on with some of the Indy cars in my stash :winkgrin:

Steve.

Are you a member of OWR?

I'm not sure if I joined up but I do visit every now and then. My main interest is 20's to early 70's race cars so there is lot's to see on there. In particular, a guy called Patrick does a lot of really nice race cars with some great kitbashing and scratch building skills.

Patrick's ability to turn cheapo little chinese toys into works of art is astounding.
