david v
Hi Guys, well this is one I didn't throw away, its pretty much finished, but my problem is how do you mask the complex surface for the three color camo.Im not that proficient with the airbrush, but don't want to use the hairy stick. Also is the camo hard edged or soft, I could probably manage the soft edge with the airbrush, but having to mask this one fills me with dread. Any advive or tips would be most helpful. Dave
Dads203
Bluetak is good for masking up hard edge schemes with an airbrush :-)
Andy Moore
Agreed, bluetak works very well. You just need to be careful around any delicate parts like photo etch etc. Andy

KAYELL
Hi Dave, For what its worth I use a product called silly putty, I get mine from Smyths toy stores. I find this stuff is a bit more flexible than blu tac. It is similar to a product called green snot that kids play with. I find that if you knead it it becomes very flexible and can get into those very tight spots. Cheers K
Tarheellaw
I have built that kit. The turret is 99% of the build and horribly complex. Lots of little parts and glass etc. I free handed mine with an airbrush. Green black and brown I think. I gotta remember blue tac!! Great kit by the way. Zvezda outdid themselves.
