AndrewCJ50
Dear Fellow Modellers The Miniart Gaz trucks are some of the most challenging kits to build. Not because they are crude but rather because they almost entirely lack attachment points. Several times I drilled holes and installed brass rods to strengthen joins. The real things were tough as old boots of course! Hope you like it Andrew
Shermaniac
Cracking good builds though. I've just done the GAZ-AAA Mod.1941 and yes, it was a challenge but I'm a better modeller for doing it. Almost nothing is scary any more, at least not at the moment anyway. Good model Andrew Edited March 1, 2015 by Shermaniac
KAYELL
Nice build , paintjob and very effective setting. I totally agree with you about Miniart kits being challenging they seem to use 6 parts when one or two would do! Having said that I do so like their kits. Good Job Cheers K
Andy Moore
MiniArt kits can be a real pain but the end results can look great and yours certainly does. Very nice chipping on the cargo bed. Andy
AndrewCJ50
Thanks Guys! Yes, the cargo was my first tentative step with the hairspray technique using the juice marketed by MIG. In theory I am now having a relaxing build with the Trumpeter KV-1s but am struggling with fit problems! Andrew

Buzby061
Never tackled a Mini Art kit, looking at that you'd think it was Tamiya quality - superb. Pete
AndrewCJ50
Thanks for your comments guys The grass near the truck is one of those sets from Companies like Heki (I don't remember which) which is like a scouring pad for your saucepans. You cut it out and glue it down. Regards Andrew
