ScanmanDan
Latest butterfly Tamiya Dingo, not much detail in the interior so added some spurious details and widgets. I am surprised that no weapons are provided for this kit. I think Tamiya was a touch stingy not even putting in a Bren gun or rifle or two. Tiny, tiny little creature. Progress so far; Now comes the fun bits, painting! Dan Edited March 30, 2018 by ScanmanDan
Andy Moore
Having built the MiniArt 1/35 version and knowing how small that was, the detail you've added to this is amazing Andy
Alpha Delta 210
Hi Dan. Great start on this little beauty. I have the same kit and plan to build it in memory of my father, who drove them in the Household Cavalry in the 1950s. I'll look forward to the next instalment. ScanmanDan
Progress; Started flinging some paint. Thanks Andy she sure is a tiny little bugger. My detail is a bit ham fisted but spices up the interior a bit. Alpha - I'd love to see how you tackle this little beastie. Dan
Alpha Delta 210
Great progress Dan. I have built the 1/35 Tamiya kit and have bought all the MiniArt versions, but was put off by their complexity! I was at a military vehicle show a few years ago and got chatting to a Dingo owner. I asked him if I could hear the engine running, as my late father used to talk so fondly of the Dingo (although he preferred the horses!) Can you imagine my surprise when he went one better than that and let me drive it!! Wow! Looking forward to the next instalment.
ScanmanDan
Progress; All the construction is finished I just need to get to the painting. I've only added some lift hooks, handles and after market storage. Painting should be fun. :D Alpha - Driving one of these things would be a blast! Andy Moore
Looks great, the stowage really enhances it. Looking forward to seeing some paint on. Andy
Ozzy
Wow, Looks fantastic, like AndyRM101, I've built the 1:35 one, I know the size of that, so the detail you've put on yours with it being smaller still, you must have a big magnifying glass or eye strain. ScanmanDan
Thanks for the encouragement guys Progress; Basic paint plus first pass of oil filters. My work is pretty busy so This will get a few days to dry off hard before I start mucking some more with it. Shaping up okay with the usual mistakes and missteps . Thanks for looking. ScanmanDan
Progress?; Lots of fooling about with some washes and pastel chalks and some detail painting. I just need to get the tyres finished and do some final assembly and this puppy will be done. If I do another one I get the Hauler photo etched set to spruce up the details but doesn't build too bad straight from the kit. Thanks for all the super support guys. I'm glad you lie my little efforts. Dan
Andy Moore
It's looking great Dan. The weathering is nicely restrained. It would be easy to go overboard in 1/48 but this looks spot on. Andy
Alpha Delta 210
Coming along beautifully Dan. Mine is definitely working it's way to the top of the pile! Looking forward to seeing her with the wheels on.

fatfingers
That looks a smashing little kit. Great job on the painting. Is the stowage Value Gear? Regards, Steve
ScanmanDan
Thanks guys! I was looking over the kit tonight after work and I will have to strip the paint off the mufflers and redo them as it looks KACK . Steve - Yep, the stowage is from value gear and it's pretty good. Paints up well and is nicely cast. The detail is a touch soft but MILES better than I could ever hope to make out of putty. I'm going to keep picking up more of their sets as I go just to have them on hand, I highly recommend them. Dan

Dan Don't know if it helps but, with mine I painted the mufflers in the body colour then stippled on some dark rust tones and finished by rubbing a pencil over the edges to give it a slight metallic hint Of course this was 1/35 so it was a bit easier Andy
ScanmanDan
Andy that looks awesome . Thanks for sharing - so cool. Must try that on one of my next builds.
