Israeli Centurion - basic conversion of old Airfix kit, details?

I have an old Airfix 1/76 Centurion, I'd quite like to do it as a Six Day War tank, perhaps with a Syrian Pz IV, as I have one of those stashed too..

I know the old Airfix kit is 'less than optimal' but searching has not turned up a lot solid info

this was good - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234946306-idf-centurion-turret-basket/

I don't really 'do' 1/76th,[i like 1/48th] but want to do someting for the Armour group build, and it's been a long time since I did a tank, so wanted a simplish build to refresh skills, do some weathering etc

If just went 'sod it' and built it is as is, is there a good colour match, a thread on Missing Lynx suggested Humbrol 84 plus white.

I have a few Xtracrylix Afrika Korps paints I got a job lot if any of those might be any use? Afrika Korps sand grey [RAL7027]

I have just tried to find out, this any where near?

this looks better

Most paint I have is ww2 aircraft. Is there a TLAR area in those?

Sorry, very vague, not an area I know much about....

TIA

The best match for the 1967 color is Tamiya Buff XF 57 and Medium Gray XF 20 mixed 50/50.

Any sandy gray color will suffice, just remember no green hues at all for that time period.
