Revell 1:24 Volkswagen Beetle (New Style)

Hi Everyone,

Here is my 2nd completed project of 2015.

This is Revell's 1:24 scale Volkswagen Beetle New Style.

This is an almost exact replica of my own car. The colour is very similar and as the model was made in Germany, the model is left hand drive rather than the UKs right hand drive.

The kit is painted in Tamiya X-4 blue and black paint.

Anyway here are the photos.

Are the rear lights already red or did you paint them?

My wife wants me to build a copy of her bug but she's fitted clear rear lights.

Thanks for the comment. It was a fun build, I only wish revell had done a representation of the engine, but never mind.

I had to paint the lights as they came with the kit as clear.

Nice job Rick, especially like the colour of the body work. Really nice finish especially as it was brush painted. I don't get that good a finish spraying.
