Jessica
Rareplanes did a really excellent vac, but I'm not aware of any injection kit.
Graham Boak
People have set out to convert an Airfix Heron, but it is more difficult than it appears.
kev67
There is Topgun, resin kit that looks nice, Magna did a 1/72 resin kit, plus Rareplane vacform and Airmodel did a vacform kit as well
Graham Boak
Welsh models do a vacform in 1/144, but it is one of their earlier kits.
CarLos
and Airmodel did a vacform kit as well Airmodel? Are you sure? Must have been a looong time ago. They sold some molds (for example, the Do 26 from Combat Models is an ex-Airmodel kit) but I never heard of a Dove.
Graham Boak
They had a Dove fuselage as a conversion, as I recall.
Tentacles
I want one too! Never been injection moulded far as I can see, sadly. But there have been various resins available according to https://www.scalemates.com/search-solr.php?fkSECTION%5B%5D=All&q=de+havilland+dove&qs=Search. Hannants have some in stock. The wooksta V2.0
The Rareplanes kit is a beauty. Did one some years back and enjoyed every minute of it. I've a couple tucked away that cost me virtually nowt - a quid each!
marty_hopkirk
I have the Omega kit it's really nice if a tad expensive. I would advise to try and source the later Rareplanes Dove when production moved to Hannants it has decals and white metal pars and comes in a nice box too. Marty... marty_hopkirk
The Aviation Mega Store has some of the Omega Doves, considerably cheaper than Mr. Hannants (considerably in this case = half the price). Accepted there perhaps not on the most attractive or desired liveries, but its the same base kit and adding decals of ones choice should be straight forward. Marty... kev67
Those Omega Doves are not cheap at £51 for such a tiny plane.

marty_hopkirk
Aviation Megastore are selling them at around the £32 mark, not cheap but far better than the £67 of the 'big yellow'. Marty... Nope, the Magna kit is 72. Marty Magna do the Sea Devon in 1/48, which can easily be made into a Dove
John Aero
If trying to convert a Heron to a Dove, Note, the Heron fuselage is deeper (roof higher) than the Dove, A common mistake. John
chris57
Just to clarify the Magna efforts 0948 is a Sea Devon(£46). 5072 is a Dove/Devon, comes with Central African Airways decals(£26-25). 8972 is a Dove Srs1 with Dan Air decals(£26-00). kit 8872 is a conversion for the Airfix Heron Srs 1/2 with parts and decals for Dan Air and Jersey Airlines (£19). hope this all helps. cheers Kev
Ptmvarsityfan
Hi, Agree with Jessica and the Wooksta, the Rareplanes kit was superb, think it was one of their last kits. I got mine around the mid Eighties. We could do with a modern injected kit though! Cheers, Paul
