and Airmodel did a vacform kit as well

Airmodel? Are you sure?

Must have been a looong time ago. They sold some molds (for example, the Do 26 from Combat Models is an ex-Airmodel kit) but I never heard of a Dove.

The Aviation Mega Store has some of the Omega Doves, considerably cheaper than Mr. Hannants (considerably in this case = half the price). Accepted there perhaps not on the most attractive or desired liveries, but its the same base kit and adding decals of ones choice should be straight forward.

Aviation Megastore are selling them at around the £32 mark, not cheap but far better than the £67 of the 'big yellow'.

Nope, the Magna kit is 72.

Magna do the Sea Devon in 1/48, which can easily be made into a Dove

Just to clarify the Magna efforts 0948 is a Sea Devon(£46). 5072 is a Dove/Devon, comes with Central African Airways decals(£26-25). 8972 is a Dove Srs1 with Dan Air decals(£26-00). kit 8872 is a conversion for the Airfix Heron Srs 1/2 with parts and decals for Dan Air and Jersey Airlines (£19). hope this all helps. cheers Kev
