Harfoot
I have been a member for awhile put never really posted. I am relatively new to kits, having made a couple of aircraft kits in the past few years. I have been working on this kit on and off for a year now, brilliant kit with the most difficult instructions ever. Its at the stage where i have coated it in Klear and have just started some Oil washes. Next is to paint the finer deatil and start to apply some powders. Thanks for looking
foxy
This is no build, 'its already built!!!!!. Not seen a 1st SS tank so green. Nice model all the same, just a bit shiny. But seems you have this covered. foxy
Harfoot
can you explain what you mean by so green please, i am new to this and would appreicate any help. its shinny because i used klear to seal in the acrylic paint for oil washes, when i have finished that and the powder colours i will use some matt lacuer on it. foxy
Sorry to be so brutal Harfoot. Most tanks in the mid were basic Sand, camo then light green and dark red(rot). Your colours are more later in the war. Lovely job all the same, the detail is stunning. Sand was the major colour in the mid series. Foxy
Stesca
Coming along nicely, I would not know any different re the colours, look forward to seeing it finished.
Harfoot
Thanks Steve and Foxy, i painted it to the decal and picture option on the instructions and side of box which is annoying if its wrong. I did prefer the sand only colour in all honestly. I 'm not going to do a major repaint job now with all the decal sealed and detail nearly done. It wiil a while before i buy any more Dragon kits, i find the instructions so difficult
Tarheellaw
I built a tamiya mid tiger long ago and completely hosed it up. The dragon kits are very detailed ; perhaps I'll do this one next year sometime. I think it looks really good! The Camo is really well painted. I build well but stink at painting. Clearly you're good at both!
