Trumpeter 1/72 TU-16K-10 Badger C

Recommended Posts

Finally got my Trumpeter 1/72 Badger finished. It has been on the shelf of doom for about 3 years.

The build itself was done over 3 years ago but the paint job got messed up.

Typical Trumpeter kit from what I recall. Decals are absolute garbage and I don't expect them to stay on long.

Beautiful Badger, i am glad you have recovered it. Did Trumpys Tu-16 G roughly a decade before, its a nice but big kit and as you said the decals were on the weak side. Good that these cold war machines didn t have much stencils or so.

To get this kit on its legs i metal weight embedded with a plastcine. This stuff started after some years in to melt the plasic. The Badger had become a

full loss. The Tu-16 is one of my favorite jet bombers due to its elegant form, you have captured this very well with your clean build and the nice NMF.

Well done. now the Tu-95? :pilot:

Great build of a very impressive plane! Shame about the decals, although finding a few red stars on the after market should not be too hard. So there is hope!

Congrats on your perseverance.
